Optics & zeroing

Mounted. Leveled. Zeroed.

Build from a solid setup

Confidence begins before the first adjustment.

An optic is part of a complete system: firearm, mounting interface, hardware, eye position, ammunition, and intended distance. Range 313 brings those pieces together through focused mounting and zeroing services.

Whether you are adding a red dot, setting up a rifle scope, or revisiting a zero that no longer feels consistent, our team can help identify the right starting point and the follow-up the setup requires.

Five optic services

From the mounting surface to the point of impact.

What to expect

A zero is the final step, not the first.

A stable mount and a clearly defined goal make the range work meaningful. The process begins by confirming the complete sighting system.

01 / Confirm

Review the sighting system

We identify the firearm, optic, mount or plate, hardware, ammunition, and the result you want from the setup.

02 / Set up

Mount, level, or align

The agreed bench work is completed before live-fire adjustments are considered.

03 / Validate

Establish or confirm zero

When range zeroing is part of the service, the setup is evaluated at the agreed distance with the appropriate ammunition.

When optics need attention

Know when to revisit the setup.

A changing point of impact is not always an adjustment problem. Mounting hardware, the interface, ammunition, shooter input, or the optic itself may need to be considered.

01

A newly mounted optic

The optic or scope has been installed and needs preliminary alignment or a confirmed live-fire zero.

02

A shifting zero

Groups have moved unexpectedly or adjustments no longer produce the result you anticipate.

03

A changed configuration

The optic, mount, barrel, ammunition, or another relevant part of the setup has changed.

04

An unfamiliar sight picture

Eye position, optic height, reticle presentation, or scope orientation makes the setup difficult to use consistently.

Before you visit

A few quick answers.

Bring details about the firearm, optic, mount, and intended use. Call first to confirm current service and range availability.

What should I bring for optic service?+

Bring the unloaded, securely cased firearm along with the optic, mount or plate, rings, hardware, tools supplied by the manufacturer, and instructions when available.

Is bore sighting the same as zeroing?+

No. Bore sighting is a preliminary alignment intended to help begin the live-fire process. A final zero must be confirmed with live ammunition at an appropriate distance.

Do I need to bring ammunition?+

Live-fire zeroing requires suitable ammunition, and the load can affect the result. Call ahead to confirm the type, quantity, current range rules, and whether ammunition is available on site.

Can every optic fit every firearm?+

No. Footprints, plates, rails, rings, mount heights, screw specifications, clearance, and eye position all matter. Compatibility must be reviewed for the exact setup.
