General Range Rules & Regulation

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Children must be at least 12 years old to shoot. Minors (17 years old or younger) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parent or legal guardian will sign a waiver and stay with them at all times.

PRELIMINARY CONSIDERATIONS

1. All firearms that are not holstered should be in cased and be unloaded while being transported to or from the range. If you have a CPL, your gun will be kept in a holster until you are in your shooting booth.
2. Range Counter Attendant will inspect all ammunition intended to use on the range. Only authorized firearms and ammunition may be used; No steel core or steel jacketed, tracer, and incendiary rounds. For shotgun shooting only slugs or buck shot rounds.
3. Let the Range Counter Attendant know if you’ve never fired a gun before, so that we can provide assistance if needed to ensure you are comfortable on the range.
4. If you are renting a gun from Range 313, you must purchase ammunition from us.

RANGE SAFETY RULES AT RANGE 313

1. Always keep the firearm pointed in a safe direction.
2. Always keep your finger off the trigger until on target and ready to fire.
3. Always keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use.
4. Shooters are to obey the instructions of the Range Safety Officer at all times. Range Officers’ decisions are final. Any misuse of facility or disregard of rules will result in expulsion from the range.
5. Eye and ear protection is MANDATORY at all times when on the shooting range, and appropriate attire is required, including closed-toed shoes.
6. Keep any firearm pointed downrange at ALL TIMES (perpendicular to the target line), when loading, firing, unloading, or clearing a malfunctioning.
7. No firearm handling will be allowed outside the shooting booth or firing line.
8. Know and understand how your firearm works, ammunition is correct for the firearm, and understand the operation of safety features.
9. Only one shooter in the shooter’s “booth” firing at a time, all other participants must be behind the shooter. When renting a shooting lane, there is a maximum of two shooters per lane.
10. All firearms that are “benched” should be unloaded, action open, and magazine removed.
11. Shooters are to fire only one firearm at a time. When finished, unload and “bench” the firearm before firing the next firearm.
12. Under no circumstance may a loaded firearm be passed to another person. A firearm will be considered loaded if a magazine is inserted and/or firearm’s action is closed, or in the locked condition.
13. Shooters should fire at their target only as rapidly as their ability permits. Uncontrolled shooting resulting in damage to equipment is strictly prohibited. No intentional shooting of the baffles, supports, target holders, or anything other than their designated target. Violators will have range privileges revoked and will be held liable for damages.
14. No drawing from holsters without permission from on-duty Range Officer.
15. Collection of your brass that falls on the shooter’s side of the fire line is permitted when your session is over. Under no circumstance may you (or with anything) cross forward of the firing line to get the brass.
16. No food, drink, gum or tobacco is permitted inside the range. Cellular phone usage, including texting is strictly prohibited when on the firing line.
17. Anyone believed to be under the influence and/or smelling of any intoxicating substance will not be allowed on the range.

As the renter, I am aware of risks associated with the use of firearms and in the event of an accident I (the renter) will not seek compensation from the range.
